Anxiety

July 22, 2019

As I continue studying about the body, energy, and how it heals, I am in constant awe. Realizing that our body has the ability to heal from "diagnosed diseases" when given the chance, is wonderful to watch. Today we are going to talk about anxiety.

Anxiety.

It is real.

Anxiety affects 40 million adults in the United States age 18 and older, or 18.1% of the population every year.

What causes it? Why do so many suffer from it?

Women are twice as likely to be affected by anxiety than men. If left unchecked, it can lead to panic attacks and depression.

Experiencing occasional anxiety is a normal part of life, especially when a person is going through a difficult time, however, “chronic” anxiety can cause physical strain on different areas of the body and emotional trauma. These effects can prohibit a normal way of life.

According to The Economic Burden of Anxiety Disorders, a study commissioned by the ADAA and based on data gathered by the association and published in the Journal of Clinical Psychiatry, anxiety disorders cost the U.S. more than $42 billion a year, almost one third of the $148 billion total mental health bill for the U.S. [1]

Study after study has proven the scientific link between our emotions later manifesting in an anxiety diagnosis, yet the medical field continues to “treat” anxiety and depression the way it has always been treated instead of recognizing and siding with the newest scientific discoveries.

But, what if anxiety could be treated without pharmaceutical drugs that have health-compromising side effects? What if negative emotions experienced in the past contributed to anxiety?

Those who take a holistic view of their health have had great results from “treating” their anxiety with Energy Healing. What is Energy Healing? I’m so glad you asked.

Energy healing is all natural, no heavy chemicals or manufactured drugs involved. For those who wish to treat their illness in a form that is natural to the body, energy healing is an excellent choice. Energy healing is focused on helping you live in a natural, positive state through organic means. [2]

Energy healing allows the body to release negative energies surrounding a physical or emotional condition, such as anxiety. Once these negative energies have been released, the body will be able to heal and physical symptoms can diminish.

Healing takes time, but when given the proper help, the body will heal and regulate its own self which is what our Creator designed the body to do.

I recently worked with a client who had suffered from anxiety and panic attacks off and on for years. After several sessions with her, her anxiety symptoms began to diminish. We continued with sessions until her symptoms disappeared completely. Today she does not have any anxiety, she doesn't get overwhelmed in situations, nor does she have panic attacks. It was so moving to be a part of her peace and healing. Each person’s story will be different. Each body will react to something in a different way. Each healing journey will be unique, for we are truly fearfully and wonderfully made. But the one commonality will be healing, happiness, and the opportunity to be who the Lord created you to be! May this entry be of encouragement to you and know that you do not have to live with anxiety anymore!

CUTV News Radio

November 7, 2018

I am so excited to be live on CUTV News Radio this week! Please stay tuned! As I prepare for this interview, I am struck with the realization that about 95% of our illnesses have an emotional root cause.

What a blessing it is to know that we don't have to be sick, that we can heal not only because the Lord made our bodies that way, but also because He wishes us to enjoy our health!

I will post the interview on my blog and hope it will be an encouragement to those who need to hear it!

Self-Control & Self-Compassion

September 13, 2018

"How you think determines how you function."

As I sit here and ponder this statement, I realize our entire well-being depends on our thought lives and how we choose to react emotionally.

This quote by Dr. Caroline Leaf is eye-opening for those of us who are unaware of the affects on our brain caused by our thoughts.

I enjoy watching Dr. Caroline Leaf's YouTube show because not only is it freeing, but is very challenging. Let me explain.

When the Lord created the world in 6 (24 hour) days, He gave everything boundaries, or rules, if you will.

For instance, the sun cannot decide whether or not to rise- the Lord commands it to do so. Plants and flowers cannot choose when to grow or shrink- the Lord commands them to grow and fade away.

The seasons cannot decide to rearrange their order, the Lord has spoken and set them in place.

However, when He created man and woman, He broke His pattern of creation, He gave us FREE WILL.

We can choose to follow Christ or not. We can choose to get angry or not. We can choose to do wrong or not. Even though the Lord knows our future choices, He still gives us the freedom to choose, even if we choose unwisely. This freedom comes with great responsibility. One of the downfalls of our nation today is not taking responsibility for ourselves and actions.

We love to play the blame game. This negative mind-set of others "making me do it" is not only a lie but a determent to our health as individuals and a nation.

YOU alone are responsible for your actions, reactions, perceptions, and emotions. When placed in a negative situation, YOU alone can choose to take on the events and emotions of the situation; or you can choose to allow the negative-speaking individual the responsibility of what they choose to speak or how they choose to act. Their actions, words, and perceptions are their responsibility, their choice.

You have a choice too, learn to respect yourself enough to own your emotions and reactions. Learn to cut yourself some slack as well. The Lord also calls us to be kind to ourselves.

"Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy - meditate on these things." Philippians 4:8

So, the next time you find yourself in a negative situation, know that you have the choice to approach it with the freedom to allow anyone else involved the responsibility of their choice.

Your emotions are real; your thoughts are real- they can either be positive or negative. Negative emotions can harm you physically.

Choose life for your body. The video I have posted below is a tool to help you on this journey. In future, you will learn how to have a positive thought life and a positive emotional life. Dealing with past negativity is where these Emotion Code Healing sessions begin.

"What you think, feel, and choose designs your thoughts. You are creating your reality" ~ Dr. Caroline Leaf

Like my Meemaw always says, "If I didn't cause it, I can't fix it." She was SO right! Choose your emotions, reactions, and words. Only you can "think about such things"- which determines how you function. Choose to function in truth!

Scientific Proof

September 24, 2018

"How can my emotions scientifically affect my physical health?"

This simple question can be answered in so many ways, but I believe one of the best answers was given by Dr. Ameet Aggarwal, ND, author of "Heal Your Body, Cure Your Mind."

I wanted to share an excerpt from his book pertaining to this question that explains in detail the link between emotional and physical health:

"All emotional experiences begin a physiological process in your body. For every act, emotion, and expression of love, self-love, self-forgiveness, and forgiveness toward another, your body reengages toward another physiological process, closer to its original process, its healthiest process...

Emotional and traumatic events have a long-term impact on our health. Biologically speaking, your brain has the ability to create new neural connections based on what you experience. This ability is what doctors call neuroplasticity. Significant events alter the neural pathways in our brain, causing new nerve connections to be formed in order to cope with the stress and to anticipate similar events that may occur in the future. These new neural connections alter your perception of the world and of yourself so that things do not appear the same as they used to be when you were vibrant and happy. These new neural pathways also alter the entire physiology of your body, causing organs to function differently and causing chemicals, enzymes, and hormones to be made in different amounts, both of which directly affect your health and hinder your ability to recover emotionally.

Sometimes you might not even be aware that a particular emotional event has such a profound effect on you. If left unresolved or tucked away hidden under a stone in the back of your mind, the effects of these experiences continue to affect your mind and your body consciously, subconsciously, or unconsciously. Your mind and body remain affected and continue to respond to emotional experiences as if they were still occurring, even though they might have finished.

When these emotions surrounding your experience are too large for your mind to cope with or go on for too long, a part of your mind shuts down by going into depression in order to conserve energy for expected experiences.

The chronic stress from these emotions taxes your stress-adapting organs such as your adrenal glands and thyroid glands.

Over-stressed and under-functioning adrenal glands are a leading cause of chronic anxiety, depression, and other health problems. You need to resolve or discharge these emotions in order to correct the altered neural pathways created in your brain, stop their negative effect on your body, and to give your brain a rest, rather than let it remain stressed from past events.

Resolving stress and releasing these emotions are also important because physically stressed organs in your body use up many more nutrients and nutrients begin to run out in your body, your brain and other organs no longer have enough neurotransmitters and hormones to keep you happy and healthy."

Each of us wants to live a healthy, happy life. But let's be honest, we take our health for granted or don't even realize we are not living to our full potential.

I want to help you gain your health back.

By releasing these negative emotions, your body will be able to return to its healthier process. The Lord made our bodies to self-heal and self-regulate. When your body is rid the negativity for good, you can only see improvement in many areas of your life and begin to heal.

Let's face it, life throws emotional curve balls. Family and friends make unwise decisions that impact not only themselves, but you as well.

What a comfort it is to know that the Lord created this science and has given us the knowledge and ability to emotionally heal. You are in control of your health and can choose to eliminate this negative. You will be amazed to see the difference in your life!
